Musical Theatre & Film Academy

Our Musical Theatre & Film Academy is an exciting class designed for young performers who want to explore both the stage and the screen. The class is adapted for all ages (6-17) and gives students the opportunity to have elite training, create, and perform in a supportive and professional environment.

Musical Theatre
Students receive high-level training in acting, singing, and dance, learning how to put together polished performances. They will take part in our annual showcase and awards presentation, where they perform for family and friends and celebrate their achievements. For those who wish, we also attend competitions, providing fantastic opportunities to build confidence and showcase skills.

Film Academy
Students are fully involved in the process of making short films, from acting and writing to directing, blocking, and producing. Each year, our films are entered into film festivals, with students enjoying a day out to see their work on the big screen. This unique experience allows them to explore both on-screen performance and behind-the-scenes creativity.

Progression & Opportunities
This class also prepares students for our advanced Musical Theatre Productions course, where we perform annual showcases at prestigious theatres such as StoryHouse Chester and the Liverpool Empire. Students also have access to our talent agency, opening doors to audition opportunities for both stage and screen.

Whether students join to pursue a career in the performing arts or simply to make friends and grow in confidence, the Musical Theatre & Film Academy at MAPA is the perfect place to shine.
